About the Franco-German University

The Franco-German University - FGU (Université Franco-allemande - UFA in French or Deutsch-Französische Hochschule - DFH in German) is an internationally recognized institution, created and jointly funded by France and Germany. Since 1997, its main remit has been to initiate, evaluate and participate in the financing of Franco-German degree programmes across a broad range of disciplines, from engineering sciences to the humanities and social sciences, including basic sciences, economics and management, law and teacher training.

These programs are implemented in over 140 university towns by the best universities, grandes écoles and Fachhochschulen in France, Germany and other countries. Together, they form a strong network of 208 higher education and research establishments working together under the aegis of the FGU, bringing together more than 6,100 students. There is no other comparable binational structure in the world.

Double Degree Agreement - TU Dresden and Ecoles Centrale Group

A double degree agreement was signed in 2023 via the Franco-German University between Dresden University of Technology (TU Dresden or TUD) and the Ecoles Centrale Group in the following fields: electrical and computer engineering, computer science, mechanical science and engineering, renewable energy systems and nanoelectronic systems.
